Children sometimes ask some of the more interesting questions in life about the smallest things in life. They can ask questions about objects or people around them, and some of them can be uncomfortable at times. At one point in her life, Gloria was asked by her young son about the number tattoo on her arm. She knew at some point that she would have to talk about her past as a Holocaust survivor. In her book Mommy, What’s that Number on Your Arm?, she talks about her life during World War II and as a Holocaust survivor.
