A group of Alabama high school students with an interest in engineering found inspiration in helping disabled children enjoy the beach and water. They created wheelchairs to enable special needs children reach the water. Their idea came from helping at their local YMCA during special needs swim lessons each week. Their cost per wheelchair was only $150.
