Heather Abbott's life was changed by the Boston Marathon Bombing back in 2013 when she and her friends went to Boston to watch the Boston Marathon. She faced the decision what to do with her badly injured leg. She decided to have it amputated below the knee. She decided to start a foundation to help others with amputations through her Heather Abbott Foundation.
