I recently came across a thank you note from a mother who's son was in a classroom with a mainstreamed or inclusion student diagnosed with Autism. I have to mention that neither student were assigned to my classroom, and I came across it as a post on the internet. She had such a positive experience with her son inside that classroom, so she wanted to write a thank you note to the Autistic student's mother. I am a fan of inclusion with the right classroom situation for both the disabled student and teacher. There are times in which there is not a perfect match in student teacher combination. However, it is notes like this that make my day!
