I know you are a busy parent after you get home from work and the kids from school. With after school activities, dinner and homework, it seems impossible to get everything done in the evening including homework. Homework can become an even larger issue if your child has a disability effecting them doing their homework such as ADHD or handwriting problems. It becomes important to find a solution to the homework problem. If your child has an I.E.P. or Individual Education Plan, it can be addressed in the document. Solutions is to limit the amount of homework or even allow your child to submit a typewritten version of it. Just remember, it never hurts to bring it up as an issue during a parent teacher meeting or I.E.P. meeting.
