Field Trips

Everyone has interesting memories of school field trips growing up. It was to interesting places most of the time and a new perspective on familiar places. A recent discussion happened recently that got me thinking about school field trips. It had to do with parental involvement during the field trips. A teacher had gone on a field trip with her class and the parents had helped with all of the students. The next day she went on one with her son, and parents helped with their child only. It makes for an interesting problem when a child is unable to have a parent involved in a school field trip. It also becomes a problem if there is not enough volunteers for every child in the class. How about the next time you go on a school field trip ask how you can help the teacher make it easier? It could make for an interesting field trip.
