One of the biggest worries out there for a parent of a special needs child is where will my child live when they are an adult. I have watched the options grow for many years from very few options and programs available (home or a group home) to a wide range of options including independent living in an apartment or house. There are some great groups out there for more information on the subject at TheARC, Council for Independent Living, and Autism Speaks.
